Question:
I am concerned about whether my tailgate can be lowered with the Shockerhitch in place. What is the distance from the top of the shank to the top of the air bladder?

Helpful Expert Reply:
I went and spoke with Shocker and they let me know the the measurement on their Shocker Air Equalizer for Weight Distribution Hitch # SHK68VR from the top of the 2" shank to the top of the airbag in the lowest position is 8".
This would be when using the 8 hole XR channel (black), as opposed to the 10 hole channel that should drop an additional two inches resulting in a 6" measurement.
