Troubleshooting Trailer Hitch Install Where Holes Dont Line Up
Updated 04/10/2023 | Published 04/09/2023 >
Question:
The hitch I bought for my 2008 highlander does not fit I have pictures to show the slots are not positioned correctly. The width is off. How can I send you the photos of the hitch I bought and the pictures of the slots?

We see this on occasion and while its super frustrating the issue is that the hitch got bent in shipping and that's why the holes don't line up. If you can find like an open stairwell or some other way to use leverage to bend it back that is totally fine. As long as the paint doesn't flake or creases don't develop the hitch is fine to use.
I attached a help article on this for you to check out as well.
