Recommended Hitch for RV/Motorhome with 2004 Ford E-450 Van Chassis

Question:
There appears to be two differences between the subject hitches. First, the forward mounting hole on the 14055 Is slightly angled where the 14053 is not. Second, the cross bar on the 14055 is extended rearward while the 14053 is straight. Which one would be best for a 2004 Ford E450 Super Duty 30 foot motorhome chassis? Would like the receiver end to be at least even with the 3-4inch square tube bumper if not a little past it. Mounting holes are 38-5/8inch frame to frame.

I have a solution for you, but the two hitches you were looking at will not fit your Motorhome. While there is no custom fit hitch for your chassis, we do offer a few universal options.
One type of motorhome hitch is the Draw-Tite # 5350, which can accommodate the mounting hole spread of 22 inches.
If you instead have an I-beam or C-channel frame the Curt # 13703 would be what you want for your 38-5/8 hole spread.
The one I recommend for the receiver being in the placement that you mention would be the # E-100. This hitch will work for your if the bumper in your pictures is a 4x4 steel bumper.
I have linked all of these hitches to this page for your convenience.
