Question:

Can I use the Gorilla lift assist on a trailer with the rail only 9 1/2 inches from the floor with a 4 foot ramp. Or is there another option to use? This is a 5x10 trailer.Flat rail.

The Gorilla-Lift Utility Trailer Tailgate Lift Assist part # GL1 is designed for a trailer with side rails between 12" to 24" from the trailer bed and a tailgate height of 4' to 6' from trailer bed. That said, we do have another similar option that should work for you in the Rack'Em Double Barrel Utility Trailer Tailgate Lift Assist part # RA-27C which works on side rails between 10" to 15" from the trailer bed and a tailgate height at least 44" from the trailer bed. I know you are still 1/2" away but that really shouldn't be an issue.
