Will the gorilla lift work on a split ramp trailer gate?

The Gorilla-Lift Utility Trailer Tailgate Lift Assist w/ Cable - 300 lbs # GL1 will work on a split ramp trailer gate. You will install it in the exact same way, you will just split the weight capacity so each ramp will have 150 lb weight capacity and will only lift from the outer edge.

You may choose to use a basic latch like the Bolt-On Zinc Spring Latch # SL716 to connect your ramps when desired for full lift assist function.

I don't understand what you mean by splitting the split ramp weights? Do you mean one side is attached to the first section of the tailgate and the other side is attached to the remaining ramp section?

If you have a split gate, you'll basically just be installing the Gorilla-Lift # GL1 like normal. Each spring will just be responsible for the side of the ramp it's assisting.
