Recommended Tailgate Lift Assist for a Bix Tex 70TV Trailer

Hi, what would be the trailer ramp assist that I would need for the Big Tex 70TV 7x16? The sides are a bit taller than most... 29inch 3/8 height I believe.

The best trailer tailgate/ramp assist we have for your Bix Tex 70TV Trailer is the Gorilla-Lift Utility Trailer Tailgate Lift Assist part # GL1. That said, this lift assist is only designed for a max side rail height of 24" which is also the max of all other trailer tailgate/ramp assists so in order to use one you can either mount a false rail down a few inches using a piece of angle iron or you can just simply add a few chain links onto the end of the cable so your tailgate can reach the ground.

The Gorilla-Lift will attach to the round-tube rails so you won't have any issues with this either.

With the Gorilla Lift Ramp Spring Assist #GL1 there are two sets of springs and you can disconnect the inner spring if you want to lower the spring tension and the outer spring will do the job just fine.
