Question:

I have a Big Tex 50LA utility trailer tandem 7ft x 16ft. It has a single full width tail gate ramp that can be heavy after long day. I use the ramp to pull my side by side onto the trailer. It was purchased new and came with no lift gate assist. Would torsional springs work or do I need to go with an edge rail mounted style of system. Thanks

The ramp door springs we offer that you referenced like part # RS16933LH are going to be much too heavy duty for the liftgate on your Big Tex 50LA Utility Trailer. They would more than likely causing a floating effect on the liftgate which is not what you want. Instead, I recommend the Gorilla-Lift Utility Trailer Tailgate Lift Assist part # GL1 which will do a much better job of helping with your heavy liftgate after a long day. They are also very easy to install when compared to the ramp door springs.
