Will Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver for 1984 Chevy C/K Series Pickup Work with Brackets Under Frame

Question:

I have a 1984 Chevrolet C20, 8 foot bed, 34 wide frame, with the factory installed step bumper on it. The factory bumper has a bracket mounted to the frame which will interfere with any hitch installation. I can send pictures if needed. The hitch that is recommended, the Curt C14082, I dont think will fit because of that bracket. Are there other options I have?

The trailer hitch options for a 1984 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup all install in the same manor using holes on the underside of the frame. If there are any brackets present they would need to be removed and are most likely not factory therefore the hitch is not designed to work with them. I have attached a photo of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C14082 close up so you can review fit.
