Question:

Hello, I have a Kuat Sherpa hitch bike rack. Unfortunately, the rack is too close to the exhaust on my volvo v60 and one of the arms plastic melted. I need a riser to clear this problem. In addition, the hitch is a 2 and the rack is a 1.25. Ideally, Id like a riser adapter with a 2 male and a 1.25 female hope these are right terms. Is this made? Can you point me to the item? Thanks,

We have exactly what you need so you can adapter your Kuat Sherpa rack to your vehicle:

Kuat Hi-Lo Hitch Extender - # KU37FR

The extender gives you the ability to carry your bike rack 10" out farther away and 2-1/8" higher than how it is currently positioned, and then the adapter can be added to your bike rack shank so it comfortably fits a 2" receiver opening.

Please note the extender will reduce the weight rating of your trailer hitch by 50% so you want to take that into account as well.
