Question:

Hello. Im in Virginia. Theyre tough on DOTinch approved lighting. Im looking for a 3rd brake light and started considering some of your products such as, Optronics LED Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Turn, Tail - Submersible - 10 Diode - Oval - Red Lens Item # STL78RB but I do not see any mention as to whether it is stamped with DOTinch to indicate/confirm these lights are DOT approved?? Can you confirm?

Since the Optronics LED Trailer Tail Light item # STL78RB is red it can be used as a third brake light. This light is DOT approved and can also be used as a rear turn signal. To use it only as a third brake light you will want to wire the black tail light wire and the red stop/turn light wire to one circuit. The white wire is ground.

If you are needing to add a turn signal on the side of your trailer you will want to use an amber light like the item # STL78AB.
