Which is a better choice the Curt or Draw-Tite receiver?

I prefer the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C38JR over the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT79GR for your 2023 Volkswagen Taos. The Curt is made in the USA while the Draw-Tite is manufactured overseas. Both receivers have a similar design with hidden cross tubes and 2" receivers with a gloss black powder coat finish.
The Upgraded Heavy Duty ModuLite Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # C59496 will allow you to install w 4-way flat trailer connector. This is the size most commonly used on small trailers and will also allow you to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201. These lights are needed if your hitch mounted accessory blocks the view of your tail lights.
