Curt Class III Receiver Hitch # C53HR on a 2021 Volvo XC90 Plug-in Hybrid?

Question:
I see that you specifically call out that this hitch will not work with the Plug-In Hybrid version of a 2019 Volvo XC60 in one of your replies. Why is that the case? I am looking for a hitch for a 4 bike rack for a 2021 Volvo XC90, and it is the Plug-in Hybrid version. Thanks!

I reached out to my contacts at Curt and at the time of the writing of the previous question, the Plug-In version for that specific year was just released. Curt couldn't completely confirm the fit since they hadn't tested in person yet which is why we couldn't confirm it either. Since then, though, they've tried and tested it, and that hitch is compatible with all models of the 2019 Volvo XC60.
As for your 2021 Volvo XC90, the Curt hitch # C53HR is a confirmed fit for all versions as well! I attached the installation instructions for check that out.
