Troubleshooting SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps Preventing Door From Closing on Travel Trailer

Question:

I have a 2018 Cherokee 274vfk trailer. The solid steps will not let me have them be flat to step on when lowered down. When I get the steps to be flat, the door will not close. What do I need to do to make them work. I have been thinking of removing them and installing the regular fold out steps because we are that dissatisfied with them.

What is the entry height of your 2018 Cherokee 274VFK? It sounds like the SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps you currently have installed are possibly a little short and you need something a little taller.

For example, if you had the part # LC733931 this is a 2-step solution designed for an entry height of 22" - 28" but we also have the part # LC791572 which is a 3-step designed for an entry height of 27" - 36".

If you can let me know the entry height of your trailer as well as the part number for your steps I'd be more than happy to help troubleshoot your situation.
