Will The MORryde StepAbove RV Steps # MR48RR Be Compatible With A 1/4" Threshold To Door Gap

Question:

I measured my clearance on the bottom of the door to the top of the threshold and have 1/4” . Will these fit without rubbing? This is a 2021 Shockwave fifth wheel 26” door opening, 36” threshold to ground. Thank you

The MORryde StepAbove RV Steps for 23-3/4" to 26-1/4" Wide Doorways - 3 Steps # MR48RR will work with your 26" door opening width and 36" entry height but the hinge of these steps does require a threshold height of 5/8" - 3/4". To allow room for the hinge plate, there must be a gap of at least 3/8" between the threshold and the bottom of the entry and screen doors. If the gap is too narrow, the doors may not close while the steps are down.

Because of this I recommend going with the SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps for 25" to 28-7/8" RV Door Frames - Triple - Aluminum # LC791572 instead which does not have a minimum threshold height and can will fit the 26" door width and 36" entry height of your 2021 Forest River Shockwave. As for the gap between the threshold and door, Lippert, has stated you can use a rubber mallet to slightly bend the hinge to fit the door to threshold gap.
