Question:

I am looking at the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms to fit a 2014 Mini Cooper PAC to carry 2 ebikes that weigh around 50 pounds each. This item only handles 35 pounds. Any suggestions?

Since none of the trunk mounted bike racks have the weight capacity for a 50 lb weight capacity you'd have to go with a hitch mounted option as they have higher weight capacities like the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202. You would need a hitch for your 2014 Mini Cooper like with the EcoHitch part # 306-X7290 if you have non-center exhaust or part # EH47FR for if you do have the center exhaust.

The EasyFold XT not only has the weight capacity but it also has a ramp that pulls out to make loading easier, and has a frame clamp design that works great with the alternative frames of e-bikes.
