How To Stop Porpoising While Towing with a 2020 Ford F-150

Question:
I own a 2020 Ford F-150 XLT Super Crew Cab, 4X4, 3.5 Twin Turbo Eco Boost Engine with tow and off road package. I am towing an 8,000 plus lb. camping trailer with a hitch weight of 1200 lbs. when the trailer is fully loaded. I am using an Anderson No-Sway distribution hitch. The truck tows pretty well with no sway but I do get some porpoising which can be annoying, especial, when towing in wet weather. Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do to eliminate this problem, eg., improve suspension, change distribution hitch, etc. Thank you,

Helpful Expert Reply:
I recommend adding suspension enhancements on the 2020 Ford F-150 to prevent and reduce porpoising while towing. The best option for this are air bags, the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57268 are a bolt-on fit. With these you'll get the best ride quality possible as you can find the perfect mix between support and comfort. They will work great with an existing weight distribution system just be sure to set the air bags up first.
