Features to know about

Smooth Out Harsh Bottoming on Rough Trails: Progressive Rubber Springs

Hard hits at the end of suspension travel can jolt the whole truck. Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops use progressive-rate rubber springs that absorb axle energy instead of delivering a solid jolt. The result is smooth, predictable engagement and disengagement every time the suspension compresses. You get better control and comfort when tackling rough terrain or deep ruts without the harsh bottoming that stock bumpstops deliver.

Keep Your Suspension Working at Its Best: Maximized Axle Travel

Off-road suspension needs full movement to stay planted over uneven ground. These bumpstops are designed to maximize axle travel while still cushioning impacts. That means your tires stay in contact with the trail longer, improving traction and handling in off-camber sections or when crawling over rocks. The smooth engagement lets you use all your suspension’s capability without damaging components or losing control.

Built Tough for Long-Term Off-Road Use: Natural Rubber and Steel Construction

Stock bumpstops can wear or crack after repeated abuse. The Timbren setup uses a superior natural rubber compound that keeps working even after years of off-road pounding. Laser-cut steel brackets and disks are finished with a durable powder coat to resist corrosion and extend service life. It’s a system built to handle real off-road punishment without giving up performance.

Install Once and Go: Simple Bolt-On Design

Adding performance shouldn’t mean complex fabrication. Timbren includes all necessary hardware for easy installation, letting you replace your factory bumpstops quickly with basic tools. Once mounted, you’re ready to hit the trail knowing your rear suspension has up to 3,000 lbs of standard support and 4,800 lbs of bump load capacity built in for confident control no matter where you drive.

Disappointed to find the bracket paint was chipped off in several places. Easy installation. Hopefully performs as advertised.

by:

No issues. Bump stops were easy to install. 10 minutes tops. Etrailer is a great company to order from.

by:

Not sure how I would rate these Timbrens the application would not work on my truck. When installed on my truck, there was not enough clearance brake and other lines on drives side axle to feel comfortable with. Also, the temperance sat approximately 3 1/2 inches off of the axle when truck is in unloaded Did not look like it was going to sit on Timbrens axle flat plate. I believe this is a good product just not a product that’s going to work for me.
I returned the product back to etrailer as of now I have no issues for my refund. Customer service was great to work with no complaints there. Still not decided if I’m going to try something else for pulling our travel trailer.

by:

Install is straight forward. I would note that on my 2025 hybrid I had to cut the tie wraps from the remove wire clip and use my own zip ties. The spacing between tie wraps was far too short to simply move the clip to the new location on the timbren bracket.

Easy install. 2023 tundra platnium 4x2. Should have ordered the spacers. Still have a 2in gap. But I love the product

worked great

The first order I received was extremely sub par. I contacted customer support and they were great. Shipped me a new product before my return, and waited until I was able to return my defective product.

Hey Patrick. I'm sorry to hear that the first one didn't go as well as it should of. But, I'm glad that we could get you a better one on the way to you! Let us know if you ever need anything else, we will be here to help :)

by:

This has been the second time I’ve ordered from this company and have been extremely happy with their product, customer support and they ship out very quickly thanks. A+++++++++.

by:

easy to install - might want to let installers know you don't need to remove rear tires or jack the vehicle up (safety first!) on the Tundra. Just remove the 3 oem 12mm bolts on each side and replace the itty-bitty oem bump stops with your nice Timbren's (17mm bolt head and nut).

by:

Other than a quick test-drive, I haven't really tested these out yet. The product is much more heavy duty than the stock bumpstops on the 2023 Tundra and they appear well made. Installation was easy, took less than an hour. Make sure you seat the rear mounting bolt first; I didn't do that on the first one and then had some difficulty seating a socket on that bolt during installation due to tight product clearances. The hardest part for me was finding 2 17mm sockets and ratchets in my tools to assemble the product. I did not need to raise the truck to install.

by:

Fit was well, but had some paint chipped off from transit.

Hmm...would you be able to email me some photos of how/where these are installed? And to confirm, these are on a 2024 Toyota Tundra?

by:

Great product bolstering the towing capability of the new softer rear coil spring suspension on the Gen 4 Tacoma. BTW, my 2024 Off Road rides great compared to my previous Tacomas.

by:

Install on a 2025 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road was simple and quick. Transformed the ride quality over large bumps and works great for towing! I’ve run airbags and heavier springs on trucks before and the bump stops are an excellent alternative to both.

by:

So far, they’re excellent. I have a 24’ Taco w/ SuperPacific X1 camper. The bumpstops even out the ride when the rig is full. Great addition. Great Quality. Easy install.

I have them on my 4th Gen Toyota. Have an Wedge Camper and can go backcountry with 600 lbs or more in the back. The Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops helped tons just last weekend while 4x4ing grinding out up old minning roads and camping in eastern CaliforniaNevada. Saved use numerous times form bottomming out hard. Very satisfied.

@Tb Sounds like a great time Tb! The last time I was out in California visiting friends and family, my buddies and I took an old Suburban out in the Mojave desert, after driving in the ice and snow here in Missouri I did not hold back, it was a blast! Glad to hear we had the right fit for you not to bottom out. Where are you headed for the next adventure?

by:

Easy install (2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 4X4) of the quality Timbren bump stops. Took about 30 minutes, taking my time. Just raises the rear end about six inches with a floor jack and a block of wood, six bolts total. I have not tried towing my camper yet but I did buy some heavy windows and there was no sag. The bump stops are crazily overbuilt compared to the factory (see picture) and are a simple upgrade if you have sag when towing or carry heavy loads in the bed (for reference, the Timbren stops are roughly one inch above my axle when unloaded.)
Makes me want to go hook up my camper just to see where she sits, but I have no doubt that the Timbrens will eliminate any dip in the back. Recommended for build quality, ease of install and economy (compared to air bags or other alternatives)

by:

If you remove your tire, it's extremely easy to access and install (at least on my 2026 4runner). I took a measurement to my hitch, with no load. It was 19 1/2". Then I attached my rv and with the factory bumpstops, it was 17 1/8". Then after the Timbren install, same load, it was 18 1/8". It reduced the "sag" by 1". Plus, I think the 4runner handles better on bumpy roads and turns.

  • What Is The Difference For The Timbren Jounce Springs For a 2022 Toyota Tundra?
First we have the Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops # T83MR for your 2022 Toyota Tundra. These bump stops allow for the most suspension travel while still absorbing road shock to improve your suspension comfort off road. The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System # T45MR is their standard set of jounce springs. This is the kit you want if you are looking to reduce sag while hauling heavy loads but also still drive without any additional weight at times. Finally the Timbren Severe Service...

  • Timbren Suspension Enhancement Options For A 2023 Toyota Tundra TRD PRO
With the Timbrens there isn't a difference in fitment between standard model Tundra's and the TRD Pro so you'll be able to use one of the following options for your rear suspension: 4,800lb capacity # T83MR 6,000lb capacity # T45MR 7,000lb capacity # T65MR If you'd like to swap out the front bump stops as well then you can choose from the following options: 1,800lb capacity # TABSTOF 14,000lb capacity # TTOFTUN4

  • 5th Wheel Hitch and Suspension Upgrade for a 2022 Toyota Tundra
I would be happy to help you set your 2022 Toyota Tundra up for towing. Let me start out by confirming the weight on those parts. The Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter item # 16310 weighs 105 lbs. The Custom Underbed Installation Kit item # BW46FR weighs 104 lbs. Toyota really puts you in a box when it comes to options for towing a 5th wheel trailer. You are correct you can not add the Turnover ball system and air bags. There are other suspension options like the Timbren Active...

  • Recommended Suspension Upgrade for a 2024 Toyota Tundra
For your 2024 Toyota Tundra, I recommend the Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops item # T83MR because they are the lowest capacity options for Timbrens. They will still offer you plenty of support but you definitely do not need the severe kit. These mount on the side of the frame next to your coil springs so there won't be any interference.

  • Troubleshooting An Air Leak On An AirLift Air Bag Kit
While issues with these kits are highly uncommon, we do deal with air leaking on rare occasion. In most cases it will be leaking from a fitting and it is easily fixable once we have found the source of the leak. A soap test is the easiest most fool-proof way of finding the source. I could probably count on one hand the number of times I have heard of this over the last several years. If I recall correctly all but one was "user error" and we were able to address and fix the issue. Anything...

  • Recommended Timbrens for a 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for Off Road Camping
It sure will George. The Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops item # T83MR are going to be a far better option for your 2024 Toyota Tundra than the Timbren SES item # T45MR. The lower 3,000 lbs capacity will give you a more comfortable feeling and be more forgiving due to the offroad design. The Timbren Off-Road item # T83MR are designed to soften the harder landings you get when you're off roading. They'll still support your rear end when you put weight in the bed of your truck but not...
