Hi i have a 2018 audi sq5 and wanted to attach a trailer wiring. i was wondering if attaching it will void the warranty i have on the car.

Nope, the warranty on your 2018 Audi SQ5 will absolutely not be voided if you add the Tekonsha trailer wiring harness you asked about:

- ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT

Your vehicle is protected by the Federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. This act says if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever you have added to your vehicle or its installation actually caused the problem in question.

So the addition of a part does not void any warranty whatsoever on your 2018 Audi SQ5, including that harness or a trailer hitch that fits, such as the EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7397.

Hey Carly, for your 2018 Audi SQ5 the only trailer wiring option we have is a universal install type with the ZCI kit part #119250KIT which does not require any programming from an Audi dealer to be functional.
