Question:

Hi, 2019 Audi Q5 Trailer Wiring Im considering buying a trailer hitch and wiring harness. The wiring harness page on your website says without factory trailer connector. How do I know if my car already has a trailer connector or if I need to buy this entire kit from you? Thanks.

Basically if you look at the rear of your 2019 Audi Q5 and you don't see a trailer connector then you don't have one from the factory. Worst case scenario you can call your local dealer with your VIN and they will be able to confirm either way.

Since you're looking into installing a hitch I would be very surprised if you already have wiring but no hitch - those are usually installed together if they are from the factory.

So in addition to the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 76183 that you're interested in, I recommend installing a Tekonsha wiring harness. You can use part # C59236 which splices into your factory wiring or part # 119250KIT which clips onto your factory wiring but does not actually cut into it so it's safer for your vehicle wiring.

I do recommend using a mounting bracket like part # 306-X6019 to keep the 4-Way connector near your trailer hitch.

It sounds like you plan on towing so if you don't already have a ball mount and hitch ball you can check out the Curt # C45534.
