Question:

I have a 2007 utility trailer by American Hauler. The brake drum says Axletek, BD-545, 08-11-SH. I am looking to replace Drums, brakes seals, and bearings as it is time. Can you provide correct parts #s to order Thank you

We can definitely get you what you need. The BD-545 refers to a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern, 10 inch drum, and a 3,500 pound axle capacity. With that being said, our Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # # AKHD-545-35-K (or # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K if you have EZ-Lube axles) will be a direct replacement. Both of these options come pre-greased and include inner and outer bearings, grease seal, and grease cap, though the EZ-Lube # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K includes both style caps.

For the brakes, you have two options available. The first being the standard # AKEBRK-35 and the second is the self-adjusting # AKEBRK-35-SA. Both of these kits include one right hand (passenger side) and one left hand (driver side) assembly. Between the two, I strongly recommend the self-adjusting # AKEBRK-35-SA. They are a little more expensive, but you don't have to crawl under your trailer to adjust them every now and then, making them worth every penny, if you ask me.

The # BRKH10B mounting hardware will complete the list of replacements needed.
