Question:
I want to install a hitch on a 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness. Im looking at Draw-Tite DT94YR and e-trailer E25TR which look almost identical to me. I like the matte finish of the E25TR. A few questions: * Is there a difference in setback from the bumper how much the hitch is recessed? This will primarily be for a bike rack, and too much recess is less preferable for me. * The installation video for the E25TR shows the use of a fish wire for the frame bolts, but I do not see that included in the E25TR kit. Is one or two included? * The DT94YR installation recommends RTV sealant on the hitch flanges, while the E25TR does not use it. Why use on one and not the other, when they are otherwise so similar?

Hey Brian! I'll start out by confirming that both the Draw-Tite item # DT94YR and our etrailer item # e25TR hitches fit the 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness.
The hitch pin hole sits 2" back from the edge of the bumper on the Draw-Tite item # DT94YR and 2-1/2" back on the etrailer item # e25TR.
The fish wire tool is included with the etrailer item # e25TR hitch.
The silicone sealant with the Draw-Tite item # DT94YR is used to help protect the inside of the frame so water doesn't get inside and lead to rust. This is the only hitch for a 2024 Outback that includes it. If you end up getting the etrailer item # e25TR, we do carry the silicone it is item # LT37467.
Unless you're really stuck on the matte finish, I would go with the Draw-Tite item # DT94YR for your 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness. It's got everything you need to install it at a lower price point.

I ended up ordering the e25TR hitch. The hardware pack included 2 of the fish wires. I'm glad I didn't order some extras!
