Industry Standard Rail Kits for a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500

I have a 2006 dodge ram 3500 . I am looking for the frame brackets and bolts to mount my reese fifth wheel hitch .

I would be happy to help you find an installation kit to use your Reese 5th Wheel hitch on your 2006 Dodge Ram 3500. I have a couple of options depending on whether or not your truck is a diesel. If you have the diesel engine then I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit w/ Base Rails item # RP56011-53. This kit will provide you with a set of industry standard rails. The custom brackets mount to existing holes in your frame, minimizing drilling and measuring. This kit will only work with if you have a diesel. It fits both 6-1/2 foot and 8 foot beds and trucks with or without the mega cab.

If your 2006 Ram 3500 has a gas engine you will want the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches item # BWRVK2600. This kit also has industry standard rails that are compatible with Reese hitches. This kit will not fit the trucks with a mega cab but fits both 6-1/2 foot and 8 foot beds.

To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long item # C56001. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
