what is the correct measurement from the back of the bed to the back of the rear rail on a 2011 dodge mega cab

The Curt Fifth Wheel Hitch Install Kit you referenced, part # C16420-104 is designed for 2500 and 3500 series trucks with 6 or 8 foot beds. When properly installed, the back of the rear-most bed rail will be 26-3/4 inches forward of the rear edge of the bed (not the rear edge of the tailgate) for a 6 foot bed. For an 8 foot bed, the measurement would be 28-3/8 inches. When installed, the king pin of the fifth-wheel will be directly over the center line of the rear truck axle.
