Will this fit my 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 mega cab with overload springs or what would the best fit be I’m looking to install rails in the bed of my truck

I have a solution for you, but the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWRVK2600 will not fit on the Mega Cab versions of the 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 with overload springs. Instead, you'll want to use the Curt Custom 5th Wheel Installation Rails # C16420-204 which are confirmed to fit on the 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 with both the Mega Cab and overload springs. This kit will provide you with base rails for your truck bed that will allow you to install a 5th wheel hitch and can be used with any 5th wheel hitch that fits in the industry standard base rails. Since this is a custom installation, it will not require any drilling into the frame during installation, so it's a great choice for your truck.

Since you have a 6-1/2 foot bed, it should be noted that when using a slider with these rails, the lowest height setting will not be able to be used on the hitch.
