Question:
I need to add the parts to my 2002 Blazer so that I can tow a trailer. The manufacturer couldn't provide me the parts as they are on backorder. Can you help me find everything I need?

First you will need the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e36YR for your 2022 Chevrolet Blazer. This receiver will fit all trim levels with the exception being the premier. It is rated for up to 750lbs of tongue weight and a trailer weight up to 5,000lbs. If you are using a weight distribution hitch the capacity increases to 6,000lbs. Be sure to verify with your Chevrolet dealer exactly how much your Blazer can handle and use the lower of these sets of numbers.
For the wiring I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118276 as this will connect directly into your factory harness. Instead of using the included 7-way I recommend the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket # HM40975 as it allows you to choose from either the 7-way or 4-way. If your trailer has electric brakes you will be able to use the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 to control the trailer brakes from your smartphone. This way you will not have to run additional wiring or drill holes into your dash for a controller.
The etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 will allow you to choose from 2 different height ball mounts to best level your trailer. You can then mount either the 2" or 1-7/8" hitch ball that comes with the kit to match your trailer coupler.
