What size would work if any for a 1.77inch hub? Would the 1.781 be close enough?

For the correct size of Bearing Buddy you need, the diameter of the Bearing Buddy must match the hub bore diameter exactly. With that being said, the 1.781" Bearing Buddies # BB1781 (chrome plated) or # BB1781SS (stainless steel) are the closest ones we carry to your 1.77" measurement. In order to make sure that the # BB1781 or # BB1781SS work for you, I recommend measuring your hub bore with calipers like the # PTW80157 in order to get the most precise measurement to 3 decimal places.
