Thule TracRac SR Compatibility With BAKFlip MX4 Folding Tonneau Cover

Question:

I have a 2022 Chevy 2500HD crew cab, standard bed with the BAK BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover installed. While the BAK was advertised as sitting inside the rails, there is an overlap of about a 1/2inch on the rails. Will the Thule TracRac SR be compatible?

Technically, the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Cantilever - 1,250 lbs, part # TH44RE, will fit your vehicle with the MX4 tonneau cover. But you will have to shift the uprights of your ladder rack anytime you open your tonneau cover.

The overlap of your BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover - Folding - Aluminum - Matte Finish, part # BAK448133, is not the reason the Thule TracRac SR is not the best fit for your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. Your tonneau cover is a tri-fold. This means your compatible ladder rack cannot narrow from the base to the crossbars.

The Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum - 500 lbs, part # A4003991, is a better fit for your BAKFlip MX4 because it does not narrow from its base to the crossbars.
