Determining if Trailer with Disc Brakes Can Replace Caliper with # KDBC225KG
Published 05/11/2022 >
Question:
Looking for a brake caliper to fit on a Demco trailer. Do you have the dimensions for the Kodiak KDBC225KG. My concern is the spread between the two mounting bolts. Thanks,

Replacement calipers are brand specific since it's more than just the bracket bolt holes that need to line up. The rotor position relative to the mounting bracket is slightly different between brands so you do need to verify that you have a Kodiak setup to use the part # KDBC225KG that you referenced even if the bolt hole dimension was somehow to match. To do this is pretty easy though as you'd basically just need to look at the caliper and on the round portion that holds the piston and fittings it would say Kodiak 225 if that's what you have. If you see something different let me know.
With that said, the distance between the bolt hole centers is 5-13/16 inches.
