Will Extreme Ratcheting Trailer Jack Keep Moving Forward without Handle if in Forward Position

Question:

My driveway has a slight grade, no more than 5. My trailer weighs about 1500 lbs. When engaged in forward or reverse, is the wheel locked until you operate the ratchet? Thank you.

When the Extreme Off-Road Ratcheting Trailer Jack w/ Wheel # ORJW1SU is in the forward position the wheel can move only one direction and it can keep moving forward without the handle moving it. It wouldn't roll back if in forward but if you were wanting to go up an incline you'd want to make sure you only are directing it up the hill with the gear selector.
