It sounds like you are needing a wiring harness on your 2016 Dodge Journey to provide trailer lights. For that you can use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118567 if you have Incandescent bulb taillights or the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118536 if you have LED taillights. This would provide you with a 4-way connector for trailer lights.
If your trailer needs a 7-way connector you can add the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 which will adapt the above 4-way into both a 4-way and a 7-way. The only way to get a 7-way is to first install a 4-way and adapt it.
