Does Curt Trailer Wiring # C56330 Work with LED Taillights
Updated 07/01/2025 | Published 06/28/2025 >
Question:
Same question again, does the CURT 3 to 2 converter support the tow vehicle LED lights. I only get 12Vdc on my 7-way RV connector and nothing else. My vehicle came with LED stop and incandescent turn. I changed out the turn with LED. Just cant get brake, turn, 4-way flashers to work. BU works on my 7-W tester. Any suggestions on troubleshooting the problem?

Which specific 3 to 2 converter are you looking at from Curt? The part # C56330 that you referenced? If so, this would work if the taillights of the vehicle are LED so I would not suspect this being the issue.

Thanks a bunch for the reply. I did some investigating using etrailer site to get my CURT converter wiring diagrams. Then I checked my install and found that I ran two 12-Vdc wires from the battery to the rear of the tow vehicle. One for the 1-Vdc on the 7-Way RV connector, AND one to power the converter. Then I looked at the fuse for the converter wire and it was "blown" For some reason it had a 15-A installed and I probably blew it trying to install LED turn signal resistors. That did not work so I got CANBUS LEDs and took the resistors out. I did restore the fuse to the specified 10-A by CURT. Again I have always received great advice and help on trailer problems over the years. Thanks Chris and Jameson. Both of you had a quick response time and I appreciate it.
