Question:

Having some problems with my hitch 92-00-100 - on trunnion. The head is still in pretty good shape, but I cant keep the angle adjustment tight. Somehow the original spacers managed to fall out and the pin was damaged. Ive substituted the spacers with washers and using a bolt same size to replace the pin. Despite everything else being correct, I cannot stop the angle from moving? My questions is, is that just an inherent problem with this design, or could I gain control again by replacing the head and hardware? Im looking at replacement head FA92-00-1000 and hardware kit FA92-02-9600. Any help you could provide would certainly be appreciated! Thanks

From the issues you described having with your Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-1000 system, replacing the head and hardware is the correct route to take to fix your problems. The outside of your head may be in good shape, but it sounds likely that the inside where the retaining pin and washers sit is damaged.
