Would Curt Echo Brake Controller Drain Vehicle Battery if Left Connected
Published 04/26/2022 >
Question:
Im wondering if I should disconnect my camper from the Curt Echo while parked overnight on a multi day trip. For example if we stop and stay in a hotel for a night on our way to or from a destination. When using ETBC7L with the Curt Echo, will it continue to draw and supply power to my camper while parked overnight since it is connected directly to the battery? I know the Echo itself does not draw a lot of power but the camper will draw what it needs to charge the battery, run the refrigerator etc.

Since the Curt Echo # C51180 can't be locked in any way to your tow setup I would recommend removing it as often as you can to prevent theft of it. Now if you were to leave it connected to your tow vehicle for an extended period of time it would not drain the battery though.
