Will the Screen Time Out While Using the App for the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller

Question:

Does the echo app keep the screen on? My phone goes to home screen after 30 secs. Not sure how to access brake controller in an emergency situation.

The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 is an excellent option which activates the trailer's brakes automatically. However, if you need to activate the brakes manually you can do so using the in-app function. That said, I think you will find that you won't need to use the brakes manually very often if at all.

In regards to the screen timing out, this will need to be adjusted via the settings on your mobile device. I have used this app on my phone (Apple) and like all of my other apps it stays up and running while you have the app in use. Therefore, it sounds like you just need to adjust some settings on your phone. The app will also work in the background as well but you would need it selected as the display to use the brakes manually.
