Question:
I need to replace an MCL40RB side marker light on my travel trailer. How do I remove the lens from the existing marker without breaking the light? Once I have the lens off the light, how do I remove the inoperative marker from the trailer? I would like to know before I attempt the replacement of this marker to avoid further expense and frustration during replacement. Your help is much appreciated!

To remove the Lens # A44RB from the LED Clearance or Side Marker Light # MCL40RB you will need to place the tip of a flat head screwdriver between the lens and light assembly(see image). I recommend starting near the corners to reduce the risk of damaging the lens.
Once you have the lens removed you will see the screws used to mount the lights. As this hardware is provided by the trailer manufacturer I cannot tell you exactly what it will have but a Philips head button screw is most commonly used. There may be some silicone or other sealant around or behind the light assembly that will need to be removed to be able to pull off the light and access the wiring.
To install the new light be sure to use some Silicone # FAS59FR to seal any water from getting into the trailer.
