Replace a worn or broken trailer marker light with this red incandescent clearance/side marker light. Stud-mounted light grounds through the mounting stud and includes a 24" lead wire.
When a clearance or side marker light burns out or gets damaged, this red incandescent light restores the marker position on your trailer. It marks the side or rear of the trailer, keeping the light function matched to DOT-compliant road use.
One integrated stud secures the light to your trailer and also serves as the ground when it's installed on a metallic surface. That keeps the install path simple, with the mounting point handling both attachment and grounding.
The light uses one 24" lead wire for the power connection. That gives you enough wire to route into the trailer wiring near the marker location without adding extra connection points at the light body.
The welded lens and housing create one sealed unit, and the light is listed as submersible. Wet road spray or boat-ramp dunking won't expose a removable lens seam, so the marker light stays ready for its next trip.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer. Today we're gonna take a look at this Peterson stud mount red incandescent trailer clearance side marker light. Now, this is gonna replace a broken red clearance or side marker light that's on your trailer. This will mark the side or rear of your trailer to help improve visibility on the road. A few dimensions on this, the overall length from one end to the other is 2.12 inches. The width, 1.12 wide and about, saying 1.12 inches tall.
You can see it has a nice rectangular shape. It does include an incandescent bulb which provides dependable trailer lighting, and it is one red bulb and one red lens. I do wanna hook it up to some power. It has a power wire that we'll hook our 12-volt power up to. And then it's gonna ground by using the stud mount design.
So, when you bolt this onto a metal portion, it'll ground to light up for you. And I just wanted to show you that. This is our ground wire you can see so that when I touch the stud it grounds, and I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights just so you can get a better idea how bright that light is. A red bulb on a red lens. Turn back on the overhead lights.
And again, it's an integrated mounting stud, which will secure the light to your trailer. And again, that mounting stud is what serves as the ground when it's installed on the metal surface. It does come with a 24 inch long lead wire, which connects to the power and the lens, it is a welded lens and housing, creates a nice single seal unit and it is submersible design, so it does stand up to wet conditions. It is DOT, Department of Transportation compliant for road use and it also goes by a Peterson part number of 151R. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Peterson stud mount red incandescent trailer clearance or side marker light.
