Question:
I’m getting different recommendations depending who I ask. So I thought I’d ask an expert. At any time or mileage does the Dexter EZ LUBE AXLES require disassemble and hand replacking of the bearings? I have about 12,000 on the 2021 and have Owned it for 1.5 years. I have greased the EZ LUBE zerk once in that time. Thanks in advance

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Dexter E-Z Lube Axles still require cleaning and repacking of the bearings every 12 months or 12,000 miles. The zerk fittings on the end of the spindle are to add new grease in between maintenance intervals but they are not designed to replace the cleaning and repacking process entirely. I have attached some parts below you'll want to consider when doing maintenance.

LubriMatic Prime Guard High Temperature Wheel Bearing Grease part # L11380
