Is There Enough Tension in Rolled Up Solera Awning to be Dangerous

Question:
1 How to prevent getting killed by rewind spring on current mechanism? 2 How does 12v system tension awning fabric? 3 Do suggestions regarding appropriate wiring come with kit? 4 Adequate dimensions to meet 69”, 2.5” minimums? 5 Is rewind spring removed? 6 Please have patience with me, trying to use phone for research and email/messages!! 7 I do have other ?’s but would prefer voice to voice comms. 8 I would like to order this tomorrow or Thurdsday! 9 HELP! I broke the manual system! Wanna replace ASAP! Thank you for your patience and consideration. Replacing old manual with power awning on Apex/Viking/Forest River, model 22QBS, serial #s2575182.

When you install a Solera awning arm kit like the part # LC434724 that you referenced you need to wind the awning 14 times so that it has the correct amount of spring tension. Now this isn't a dangerous level of tension like what you might see with a garage door opener so that is mostly how you prevent hurting yourself. Removing the end caps will allow you to unroll the awning roll.
