Do The Solera 3000 Awnings Have A Torsion Spring In The Roller Tube?

Question:
I Had a new Solera series 3000 20foot Black with Regal Heads Awning installed last year. The Drive pin sheared in half ping the awning. Upon repairing was trying to ascertain if the roll tube at the idler side has a torsion spring in it. Was unable to verify this on you web site.

Hey Albert,
On your Solera awning, the powered awnings do not have a torsion spring in the roll tube. If it is a manual awning then there would in fact be a torsion spring in there. I believe the 3000 series is the powered awning so there is not going to be one in that roller tube.
Were you able to get that drive pin replaced?
