Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're taking a quick look at the replacement head pin for Solera power awning gear drive head. Now this is going to be a direct replacement from Lippert for your drive gear head, this is going to be the pin that actually turns that fabric roller so that you can get your awning rolled out and back in without any issues. So something happened, this got bent or damaged somewhere along the way, or as you we're trying to replace some other components, this got broken. This is going to be a direct replacement for that pin. It's a half inch diameter and it measures about four inches long, just for referenced there. Has a little hole there to connect to our Cotter pin for that fabric roller, and then there are these little channels for our clip to fit into. So related items that you might need with this would be the bushing, and also that retaining clip.
Now these two things are related products on the product page for this on etrailer.com, so if you need the bushing and the retaining clip, you can pick those up separately.Basically that clip just pops all the way down on there, I just don't want to push it on and then not be able to get it back off, but that's going to do it for our look at the replacement head pin for Solera power awning gear drive head. If you need any other replacement parts for any of your Lippert components, you can always check etrailer.com, and thanks for watching..
Didn’t want to respond until it was mounted and repaired. Fit perfect. Works as it should. I have made several purchases from etrailer and have never had a bad experience.
These were a perfect fit for the Solero awning mechanism.
My old ones failed (rusted in two, drive pin). after 9 yrs in the weather in Florida.
Glad it’s repaired.

That's great, Bruce! Glad everything is on the up and up with the awning again. How has Florida weather been, by the way? Unusually cool like it's been here in Missouri?
This part saved me hundreds of dollars!!! I was replacing my awning fabric and found the shaft was badly damaged. A new motor was like 300.00 I did some searching found this site and this part, with a little disassembly I was able to replace the damaged shaft with this new one. it's been a year now and still going strong!!! Highly recommend this part if you need it!

Heck yeah! Its always nice when its an easy and simple fix!
This drive pin should be solid metal not a tubular center.
The end strips and eventually rounds itself and fails.
Exactly what I needed and quick shipping
Excellent service! Product quality, fit and finish is great! Installed without any problems. Will use eTrailer again!
Great customer service.
Delivered faster than the date quoted, that was great. The only issue was the pin didn't have two flat side to fit into the gear box, so I had to use a grinding wheel to fit.
Parts came to my door in a timely manner. All the right parts!
Thanks
It works, however I had to cut another e-clip groove into it due to it being 100 thousandths off. Doesn’t sound like much but 1/8” is 125 thousandths. However this could be the correct groove spacing for another brand of awning motor. After the modification it works just as well as the new one.
In stock and quick shipping. Perfect fit, easy to install. Thank you!
Customer service was excellent. Tygan is the best! Delivery right on time.
Perfect replacement for the original pa rt
Exactly like the other one
This was EXACTLY what we needed.
Easy to replace! Exactly what I needed.
I was able to fit the part in minutes! The awning is now good as new.
Thank you for the quick response…
The part did not quite fit. Need to grind another flat to allow the drive end of the pin to fit into the drive end slot. Also needed to widen the drive end cir-clip slot. All in all everything worked out.
Thanks

After making the adjustmen, it all worked out fine
Got the part and fixed the awning for $26. No telling what the dealer would have cost.

The part is still working but if I extend the awning to the very end it will not retract. I give it a tug and it rolls back in. I attribute it to a poor design on Solaras part. I plan to address this when I wake the trailer up next month.

Great company great people
Perfect fit.
Great Price
Great Delivery
It worked as it should
If I could give the 0 stars I would. Their company wouldn't return a part without using their shipping label which was four times the price of the part. When your trying to fix things and a company gives you a bigger headache that's what you get with these guys.
Do NOT buy this. It’s the wrong part for Lippert Solera awning. The original is beveled on both sides where it goes into the drive. etrailers is rounded so it will not fit. Picture attached. I’m up a creek now with my awning in pieces trying to bend the old one back in place.

I reached out to my contact at Lippert, and based on your situation it seems like you have one of their new motors. This part is for their older style motors. We were able to get the new Gear Drive Head added to our website, part # 643917. This part is for their new line of awning motors.

Oh wow! Looks like you changed out that pin just in time. I'd say it was holding onto hopes and dreams by the time you swapped it out. I'm glad the new pin was a perfect fit and did the trick for ya!
