Can 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Curt Base Plate Kit be Towed with Other Brand Tow Bar

Question regarding tow bars. It appears that only tow bars only work with the same brand base plates. Is this correct? I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland that has the Curt base plates installed. Is it true my only option is the rambler tow bar?

In general you have to match the brand of the tow bar with the brand of the base plate kit but there are adapters that allow some flexibility between brands but in your situation where you have a Curt base plate kit installed on your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with # C58FR you can use a Blue Ox base plate kit like the # BX7420 since Blue Ox and Curt are made the same company.
