Is it safe to use a battery disconnect when flat towing 2022 chevy equanox?

According to the owner's manual for the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox, it is required to charge the battery of the towed vehicle during recreational vehicle towing. Disconnecting the battery is safe, but there would be no reason to add a battery disconnect.

You will, however, want to use the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25. If your motorhome does not already have a charge line kit you will also need the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes # RM-156-75. In addition to the charge line kit you will need the following to flat tow your vehicle:

-Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-523193-5

-Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar w/ LED Lights - RV Mount - 8K # RM-676

-Roadmaster Universal Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes for Variable Voltage Incandescent Tail Lights # RO94FR (If you have incandescent lights)

-Roadmaster Universal Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RO44FR (If you have LED lights)

-RoadMaster 6-Wire Trailer Connector - Vehicle End # RM-910030-7

-Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700

-Roadmaster Universal Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751000

More than likely you will also need a high-low adapter. See the attached article explaining how to measure and choose the right one for your setup.
