Complete Flat Towing Setup for a 2015 Kia Soul

I am trying to decide which towing package for my 2015 Kia Soul Roadmaster or Blue OX? I want to install everything myself, I could use some advice about which base plate and braking system What I need ........... Baseplate Good Quality Non Binding Tow Bar Braking System Lighting Kit Battery Charging Kit for Braking System Thanks

I would be happy to help you find those parts so you can flat tow your 2015 Kia Soul. For a manual transmission you will need a baseplate, tow bar with safety chains, supplemental braking system, wiring harness, and a battery charge line. I have attached numerous installation videos to help guide you through installing these parts.

Tow Bar: For a tow bar, I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar item # BX7380 which comes with the safety cables you need. You should also add the Blue Ox Base-Plate and Receiver Lock Kit - Qty 3 item # BX88101 to secure your Kia from theft.

Base Plate Kit: Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms item # BX2726. This kit has removable arms and needs to be installed using a threadlocker like item # LT37420.

Wiring Kit: Demco 4-Diode Universal Towed Vehicle Wiring Kit w/ 7-Wire to 6-Wire Coiled Connector item # DM9523010-54. This wiring kit will give you a 6-way connection on the front of your Kia so you can control your lights through your RV.

Battery Charge Line: BrakeBuddy Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Kit item # BB54FR. This kit maintains the battery charge on your Kia while it is being flat towed. It uses up to 15 amps from your RV's battery.

Supplemental Braking System: Blue Ox Patriot Radio Frequency, Portable Braking System - Proportional item # BLU37TR. This proportional system provides precise, responsive braking for your Kia. It responds to the deceleration of your RV to activate your Soul's brake pedal with matching intensity.

The last thing you need is a high-low adapter. I've attached an article that will help you pick the right one out.

If you have an automatic transmission you will need the Demco Kar Kaddy X Tow Dolly w/ Disc Brakes - Tilt Bed Frame - 4,800 lbs - Wide Tread item # DM9713093 instead of a base plate, tow bar, and supplemental braking system because you can not flat tow a 2015 Kia Soul with a automatic transmission.
