I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C59UR as being the best receiver for your 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. This class IV receiver has the highest weight rating of any receiver we offer. The maximum tongue weight is 1,000lbs and towing is 10,000lbs.
The 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket # HM40975 will replace the blank factory cover that is currently on your bumper. This OE type connector will include a 4-way flat connector as well as a 7-way connector. This means that you will not have to have an adapter for most trailers.
If you will be towing larger trailers that require a brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195. This controller has an easy to read LCD screen and is customizable. It also has built in diagnostic features that help diagnose and fix trailer brake issues. A Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3064-P will help to make installation plug and play.
