Hello, I was looking at product 24905 for my 2019 Elantra GT Hatchback. I see that it doesnt work with the Korean made cars. What is the difference? Also, one reviewer says that it fit, any truth to that? Thanks!

According to the folks at Draw-Tite, the reason the # 24905 Class I hitch won't fit Korean manufactured models is that the rear bumper/frame area of the vehicle is slightly different on Korean made models. The exhaust is routed differently, and will prevent the hitch from being installed, and the driver's side mounting bracket will be blocked by an obstruction on the rear of the vehicle.

I can't speak to what was different about the one reviewer's vehicle that allowed the hitch to fit, all I can say is that Draw-Tite states that the hitch won't fit.

However, as long as your Elantra GT doesn't have the dual exhaust, the Curt # C11509 would be a confirmed fit, as it fits all single exhaust models of the 2019 Elantra GT Hatchback. This hitch mounts to the underside of the vehicle differently than the Draw-Tite model does, so it'll fit just fine.

If you'll be using the hitch for light duty towing, you'll also need the # 118692 trailer wiring harness and the # C45521 ball mount along with the # PC2 hitch pin. For a trailer ball, use # 19256 for a 1-7/8 or # 19258 for a 2 inch trailer ball.
