The correct brake controller wiring adapter will depend on which brand brake controller you have. I have a list below with all the harnesses that will plug directly into the port under the dash of your 2003 Ford F-250 and their specific brand brake controller.
Hayes - Custom Wiring Adapter for Brake Controllers # HA81783-HBC
Curt - Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers # C51322
Redarc - Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # RED87FR
Tekonsha - Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 3035-P
With all that said, if you are unsure of which brand controller you have, you can also use the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers - Pigtail # 3035-S. You will need to make sure the back of your controller has 4 wires coming out the back of it for this to splice into, but it will also plug directly into the port under your dash. To make connecting this to your brake controller easier, the Hopkins Quick Fix 4 Pole Flat # 48195 can make the process a lot quicker and simpler. This technically is used for the 4 Flat on a trailer and vehicle to connect to each other, but I have had a few people use it with brake controller hook ups and it worked very well.
