I have a customer who wants to put a saris electric bike rack on 2020 toyota highlander will this work without hooking up the blue brake wire she does have 4 prong already there

Expert Reply:
The Saris Door County Bike Rack # SAR42RR will require power from a 7-way connector to be able to operate the lift mechanism for the bike rack.
A 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L can be added to the 4-way on their 2020 Toyota Highlander to receive power on the charge line circuit to power the lift. This kit does not require connection of the blue brake light wire but I do recommend connecting to the yellow reverse light portion as the Saris rack does have a reverse light built in.
