• Diference Between the Swagman E-Spec and Escapee Bike Racks
  Gordon, the difference between the Swagman E-Spec # S94FR and the Swagman Escapee # S39SR is that the E-Spec has a higher capacity, is about 10 lbs lighter, but will only work with a max wheelbase of 48" (compared to the Escapee which can handle up to 50") other than that, they are basically the same rack. Also, the Escapee # S39SR can have a ramp added on with # S59SR to make loading the bikes easier. Both of these racks will work with 5" wide tires, 2" hitches, and can be keyed alike.

  Hi Mike; whether this is the XTC2 TILT # S64671 or the XC2 # S64650 you got from us a while back there are no ramps or other devices to assist with loading a heavy e-bike. Also, if it is that heavy I'm willing to bet it exceeds the 35 lb per bike capacity of the rack so it is probably time for an upgrade.   Hey Ken, thanks for reaching out! I recommend using the Swagman Escapee RV Bike Rack # S39SR along with the Loading Ramp # S59SR to make loading your heavy bikes easier. These have ratcheting arms that secure around the tires so they will work great unless either of your bikes has a front fender. In that case, you'll want to use the Lets Go Aero V-Lectric VFR Bike Rack # LGA25VR instead. The Swagman is a little simpler to use which is why I initially recommend going that route.

The Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # TH903202 is backed by a limited lifetime warranty so as long as it's used within the parameters of the weight capacities and what it's been tested and approved to work on you shouldn't be seeing any issues. The 2" adapter plays a part in the durability of the rack on an RV but not for normal use.
