For your 2022 Toyota Tacoma I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98905. This is a custom-fit Class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It features a matte black finish for a rugged look and corrosion resistance. It has a maximum gross trailer weight of 6,000 lbs, tongue weight of 900 lbs, and is compatible with weight distribution. This hitch is made in the USA.
For wiring, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56349. This will provide you with a 4-way connection to power your trailer's signal lights. If you are looking for a 7-way, you need the # 22117 instead.
In order to tow a trailer, you will also need a ball mount. Check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
