Question:
So from what I have read here the reason these will fit. Regular 03 3500 Savana and not the 03 3500 Savana cutaway. Is the one compatible hitch you sale is 7 inches below the frame so that it can accommodate a cutaway style bumper ? Where as the ones fur the regular Savana only hangs 2 inches below the the frame? Is the any other differences. As in the width etc. My cutaway currently had a ramp mounted to rear used for loading landscape equipment I believe the one for the cutaway you sale will hang to low. ? Are the chassis different widths make the receivers incompatible is this manner. Thank you for your help ahead as I have no way to reference how wide a regular Savana is to compare to my cutaway. I am headed to the cutaway now to see if I am correct about due to myine have the expanded metal dove tail and ramp instead of regular box truck bumper if I will need the 7 inches it s compared to the 2 the regular Savana calls for. I need this info asap si I can order today. Again thanks look forward to hearing from you.

The hitch with the 7 inch drop you are talking about is the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver - Weld On - Class V - 2" # 41990-07. The reason this has a 7" drop is because it is a universal weld on hitch designed for heavy-duty and commercial vehicles. The brackets also have a 16" drop option, it is going to depend on the vehicle and what you need since it is a universal design.
The only requirement for this hitch is the frame, it fits frames up to 44". So in a sense yes, for something like your 2003 GMC Savana 3500 Cutaway it would be to accommodate whatever was added to the frame to fit with the bumper style.
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15320 is specifically designed for the 2003 GMC Savana Cargo and Passenger Van, so it has a fixed width to match that frame and the drop is made with the OEM bumper in mind. This hitch is 40" wide center to center and the mounting points for the bolts are not designed with the cutaway in mind.
We do have a hitch that is confirmed to fit the 2003 GMC Savana Cutaway, that hitch is the Buyers Products 2" Hitch Receiver For GM Express/Savana with Cutaway Chassis # 3371801102. Once again though this hitch has quite a large drop, which it sounds like you don't want.
For a solution that will fit and has a similar drop to the hitches for the cargo and passenger van, check out the Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch # 15901. This is just like the first hitch I mentioned but with a 3" drop instead. It fits frames from 18-44". Make sure to use a certified welder if you choose to install this hitch or the Draw-Tite.
